Interestingly, the Penrose Stairs mirrors its history. The drawings of M. C. Escher inspired Roger Penrose to design them, and then Escher subsequently discovered Penrose's concept and did his famous drawing of these impossible stairs. So, Escher and the Penrose went round and round, just like their famous stairs. The stairs in this picture are real, but they give the impression they might be Penrose Stairs.
