This is a place I've photographed before. It is not, however, an accurate depiction of the scene. This is a stylized rendition of what is actually here. The composition is true, but compressed and focus-blended. The colors are true, but enhanced and balanced. The texture is true, but contrast has been increased to reveal it. There is a lot of reality in this photograph and a lot of personal interpretation of that reality. The line is not always clear that separates perception and interpretation. This is one of the nice things to emerge from digital photography: photographers are free to draw their personal lines as to where they take their images. It enriches all of us, I think, to see and accept the personal style of others.
