Sometime Last Century
In the late 1900s, access to this arch was just barely possible. Sometime in the last year of that century, however, a flash flood washed away a stone stirrup that facilitated the difficult exit. Without this natural device, there is no longer a way to get a "foot up" in order to get out of a deeply carved hole in the canyon. While the midday light still immerses the place in glow, technical canyoneering skills are now necessary to see it.
