A photogenic stairwell looks good from either the top or the bottom. This was taken from the basement level looking straight up in the Chem-Bio Building on the University of Arizona campus. Stairwells like this require extra space, so I have to hand it to the architects who opted for a feature that looks good as well as being functional.
