With the sandstone of the Waterpocket Fold on one side and the Blue Cliffs on the other, the view from the Strike Valley Overlook in Capitol Reef National Park encompasses not only miles and miles of distance, but eons in geologic time. A brief period of overcast allowed the colors of the valley to be highlighted.
