The Pulpit is the large, freestanding rock formation by the parking lot for the Riverside Walk in Zion National Park. This image was taken late in the morning one sunny spring day when the trees were just getting their new leaves. The rock formation is warmly lit with light reflected from the nearby canyon wall which provides contrasting separation with the more distant shadowed wall.
