Wall of Flame
Buckskin Gulch is the granddaddy of all slot canyons. So deep in places that there is practically no light and a length that goes on for miles. Where the canyon begins, however, there is light and sculpted walls. As in many slot canyons, around midday the reflected light is painting the walls with warm glow. The bright and dark areas in this shot created a wonderful dance of light reminiscent of a quietly burning fire.
